When we first met Kiran and Haneef, they were living in extremely difficult conditions. As poor laborers, they shared a small partition of a larger room rented by multiple families. Their section was so small that they had to sleep on the floor where rats ran rampant at night. One of their two young children fell ill with a fever for many days after being bitten one night.
Despite their circumstances, Kiran and Haneef remained hopeful for a better life for their children. They dreamed of the day when they could move to a safer home, where their little ones could sleep without fear and grow up with dignity.
Thanks to the kindness and generosity of our supporters, that dream has now become a reality.
Together, we raised over $1,000 to help Kiran and Haneef start over. With these funds, we were able to purchase two charpais (traditional woven beds), a fan, and a food kit, and also assist them with their deposit and advance rent for a new home.
Kiran and Haneef and their children no longer have to sleep on the ground or worry about their children’s safety at night. Their new space offers privacy, comfort, and security — things many of us take for granted, but that mean the world to this young family.
This new home marks a fresh start for Kiran and Haneef — not just a change of address, but a renewal of hope. It’s a reminder that even small acts of generosity can transform lives in lasting ways.
We are deeply thankful to everyone who contributed to help this family move forward. Your support continues to bring safety, dignity, and opportunity to vulnerable families across Pakistan.
Together, we’re making new beginnings possible.
