Mawra* is a young Christian girl who is very hardworking and ambitious. Her father is disabled and cannot work. She is continuing her studies as well as working in a factory.
She wakes up early in the morning at 4:00 a.m. and then goes to a factory where her job is to pack different food items. After work, she goes to school for studies.
Mawra came to know about our computer training institute through her church where we distributed promotional pamphlets. Although the computer center is located about 10 miles (17 km) from Mawra’s home, she was determined to join the course and complete it.
She not only completed the course but also stood first in the final exams!
After completing the course, she showed her diploma/certificate to the factory manager where she packed food.
After a week she was offered a job as a data entry operator in the same factory with better pay and working conditions.
Mawra is very happy and thankful to RAM and Harold C. Smith Foundation, which helped us start the center, for providing her the opportunity to complete the course free of cost. This otherwise would have been impossible for her due to the high fees of private institutes.
This crucial work of helping end cycles of poverty through education is one RAM’s main goals!
